Local Cardiologist Invited as Faculty to Two Global Interventional Conventions
Dr. Raghotham Patlola
LAFAYETTECardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) recently announced that Dr. Raghotham Patlola, cardiologist at CIS Lafayette, is invited to participate as faculty for two global interventional conventions: the China Interventional Therapeutics (CIT) March 2010 convention at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China and the Scientific Symposium of Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) scheduled for September 2009 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California.
The CIT conference is the largest interventional cardiology meeting and one of the most educational teaching courses in the Asia Pacific. More than 4,500 experts, cardiologists, radiologists, and other interventional cardiology professionals will attend the meeting. Live case transmissions, plenary sessions and late breaking trials will be presented at the conference.
This year we have been given a full length Cardiovascular Symposium at CIT which will be co-chaired by Dr. Craig Walker and myself, said Dr. Patlola. We will be performing live peripheral cases for the audience from Fuwai Hospital in Beijing, China.
Dr. Patlola is also invited to the TCT conference in California next month. This conference attracts more than 10,000 attendees and offers more than 2,000 presentations and live cases. TCT offers the global interventional community a unique opportunity to learn the latest breaking clinical science and review evolving management strategies which will result in improved outcomes for patients with heart disease.
Dr. Patlola began working for CIS in 2004 as a staff cardiologist. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and endovascular medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association and the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology.
